Teaching Requirement Overview
Grace semesters are 16 weeks of classes, and each class is generally 1 hour per week. Each teacher will have at least one parent helper for grading homework, taking attendance, keeping order, etc. All teachers prepare their own lesson plans on a syllabus form provided, with a copy given to their students and to Grace Admin. High School teachers will also need to fill out a Course Description to give to the parents for their ISP requirements. Only teachers for 7-12th graders will need to calculate grades for progress reports at 8 weeks and cumulative grade at the end of each semester. Teachers are independent contractors and are paid per student and amounts to approximately 70% of the tuition charged for the class. Compensation is paid in 4 equal payments in the first 4 months of classes each semester. Any extra supply fee is determined by the teacher and is paid to teacher for consumable supplies, copies, etc. Teachers also receive 10% tuition discount for their children’s classes (their own class would be free) as as well as automatically receive the “pay in full” discount we offer to families; and preschool, daycare and study hall are also free for teachers. If interested in any of these open positions, please see application link at the bottom of this page!
