ONE YEAR CLASS:
In this class, students will learn all about the history of California and facts about the beautiful state they live in. They will learn about the indigenous people living here before exploration, Spanish exploration and missionary journey, Mexican rule and revolt for independent republic, the Gold Rush in 1848-1855, Statehood and early development in 1850, early 20th Century growth, and even modern California. They will also learn about our capitol, our state flag, state bird, state animal, and some of our wonderful geographical wonders and natural resources. They will learn through doing map work and use all kinds of media, including books, videos, crafts, and worksheets. Students will be amazed at how God has blessed California throughout its rich history!
