ONE YEAR CLASS – Continuation for Spring Semester – New students are welcome to join this class mid-year
In this history class, we will be using The World’s Story 3: The Modern Age (The Explorers through the Present Day). It is a Charlotte Mason-inspired, Christian-based approach to the history of the 18th, 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries. Besides great class discussion, the students will be looking at “photos, maps, and illustrations that bring alive historical figures and events. Beginning with the age of exploration, and covering the history of Russia, the French Revolution, the collapse of the Spanish Empire, the unification of Germany & Italy, WW I & WWII, the Cold War, and the establishment of Israel, this curriculum integrates a Christian focus and perspective through every chapter.” There will be lots of mapping and other activities to reinforce what is learned about each era.
