Thursday HS Elective (PM1A) – Critical Thinking & Current Events

ONE SEMESTER CLASS:

This is a continuation of the Fall 9 am class, but offered at a different time. Current Events are always happening so students will continue to look at events in the News and learn to think critically and summarize those events. This class will lead students to discuss topics that will vary based on the paper articles they read each week about current events throughout the world. Examples of topics are Economics, Health, Drugs, Crime, Medical, World Events, Education, History, War, Weather, Environment, Religion, Military, Banking, Politics, Housing, Events in California, Gardening, Travel, and Business. They will be encouraged to look at these topics from a Christian worldview. The class may also be assigned a documentary/movie to watch every other week and write a summary about it.
