Class Description:

ONE SEMESTER CLASS:

This class will introduce the basic concepts of music theory, such as music notation, intervals, scales, triads, meter, and rhythm. Students will be able to apply their knowledge of music theory and notation to play nearly any musical instrument and read sheet music. This enrichment class could pair well with any music course students are taking to give the more exposure to concepts such as pitches, staves, notes, ledger lines; basic note values, 4/4 time, rests, bars and bar lines; time signatures, dotted notes, ties and slurs, repeats, eighth notes; dynamics, tempo, articulations, Italian terms in music and so much more!

*Students will need set up on Google Classroom so the teacher can share music with students to listen to for ear training (which will most likely be just instrumental/classical music).
