ONE YEAR CLASS – Same as Wednesday class but geared toward older students
In this beginning level course, students will study the fundamentals of baking that will include preparing and baking dough, quick breads, pies, cakes, cookies, tarts, quiches, and other basic baked goods found in a bakery. Special focus will be placed on preparing baked goods for special occasions and holidays. Areas of study and assessment will include baking terminology, tool and equipment use, measuring, and presentation of finished product.
