Wednesday JH (PM1A) – IEW Writing (Narnia Volume 2)

Prerequisite: Students must have taken and passed either the IEW Writing Narnia (Volume 1) course at Grace or an equivalent IEW course

This continuing one-year class is another option for literature and writing at a rigorous jr. high level.  Students will continue to learn to integrate Institute for Excellence in Writing techniques with topics from the Narnia stories, Prince Caspian, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, The Silver Chair, and The Last Battle. The IEW student book gives reading assignments from the novels, source texts on related topics, key word outlines to fill in, checklists, assignments, word lists, and more. The weekly lessons encourage students to experience the enchanted land of Narnia through the IEW structure and style. *New students are welcome to join this class mid-year with teacher approval!
