Wednesday 1-3rd (AM2) – Great American Heroes

ONE YEAR CLASS:

This class will focus on a different American hero each week as historical characters are introduced. Students will learn about their lives using quality literature, hands-on activities and artist studies. Examples of some of the American heroes covered in the class will be Abigail Adams, John Adams, and Benjamin Franklin. Students will be doing projects, crafts, and writing, etc. to reinforce what they learn about each hero.  The teacher will also provide a list of books for parents and students to read at home. Not only will students be learning about these amazing American heroes, but they will embark on a journey through excellent books while gaining historical knowledge about the world around them.
