Wednesday 4-6th (AM2) – Learning Through Literature

ONE YEAR CLASS – Continuation for Spring Semester – New students welcome to join this class mid-year

This course will provide students with the opportunity to enhance their reading comprehension, spelling, vocabulary, and writing skills. The curriculum and required reading train students to become active readers. The coursework will focus on building vocabulary, spelling, comprehension, and composition skills. Students will be challenged to consider what they have read, identify the important content of the story, and compose clear, concise answers. We will spend time in class discussing the book, talking through the questions and engaging in critical thinking with opportunities for enrichment activities inside and outside of the classroom. Writing is thinking, and good questioning stimulates will stimulate each student to think and write.
