Thursday Elective *JH & HS (AM2B) – Beginning Photography

ONE YEAR CLASS:

In this photography class, students will be learning the fundamental skills of photography including composition, camera operations and image editing through basic editing software. They will be conducting creative projects for homework assignments, some of which will be printed, that encourage different aspects and angles of how to see a photo. Some of the topics include nature, sports, black and white, perspective, and industrial. The elements of art will be covered as a review, and class will touch on the principles of design to apply to their photographs.

*Students will need any type of DSLR camera (DSLR stands for Digital Single-Lens Reflex, the type of camera that allows the photographer to see the image through the lens before taking a photo, and captures photo digitally and doesn’t use film)
