*Tuesday HS Elective (PM1B) – Intermediate Ceramics 3 & 4

ONE SEMESTER CLASS EACH (16 student maximum):

Intermediate Ceramics 3 and 4 will give the students more experience in the world of ceramics.   We will be using clay to make projects using a combination of pinch, slab, and coil techniques.  We will also be working on pre-fired bisque projects and will be introduced to how these items are created in slip-cast molds.  We will use glazing and acrylic staining techniques to finish our projects.  Our projects in Intermediate Ceramics 3 and 4 will be more advanced than those in Beginning Ceramics 1 and 2. This class is time-sensitive and dependent on attendance and participation, both in class and on work done at home.   Students will be required to come to class with their tool kit each week, and to be diligent to make sure their projects are turned in on time for firings.
