Class Description:

ONE YEAR CLASS (Students should have completed Math 7 and completed or currently taking Pre-Algebra):

This very popular course using the newer Apologia edition of Exploring Creation with Physical Science has been designed to bridge middle and high school science courses and create a solid foundation for preparing both 8th & 9th grade students for higher-level science courses.The text discusses such topics as the atmosphere, the hydrosphere, weather, the structure of the earth, environmentalism, the physics of motion, Newton’s Laws, gravity, and astrophysics, with many hands-on experiments. The author especially concentrates on the myths generated by the environmentalist movement. It is an excellent course for preparing students to take a college-prep high school science curriculum.

Please note:  Since high school graduation requirement for state of California is two lab sciences, one life science and one physical science, students can take Physical Science in 9th and Biology in 10th.
