Thursday Elective HS (AM1C) – High School Psychology

ONE YEAR CLASS:

This high school elective is an introduction to psychology.  The purpose of this course is to lay a foundation in psychology for students from the Christian perspective so that when they take the required psychology course in college, they will be more able to distinguish between truth and untruth.  The students will be utilizing their textbooks, homework, quizzes/tests, assigned activities, and projects or papers to learn about all of the aspects of psychology, and to dive deeper into those that interest them most.  The students will be writing an APA format research paper at the end of the year to prepare them for scientific writing in college.

Since this is a college-preparatory class, it will be geared more toward juniors and seniors.
