ONE YEAR CLASS:
Teaching Textbooks Pre-Algebra 2.0 is a complete math curriculum that begins by revisiting whole-number operations, fractions, decimals, percents, and measurements. The rest of the course covers beginning algebra, negative numbers, exponents, roots, plane and solid geometry, functions, relations, graphing, statistics, probability, formulas (e.g. rate x time = distance), solving equations using the distributive property, and absolute value. This will be a rigorous class where there will be instruction and practice in class for each lesson, and student will complete assigned lesson problem sets at home. There will also be lots of review so students can go over any problem areas so they understand the concepts taught. All homework is done on paper, graded by parent using the answer key and turned in for credit. Tests are also taken at home and turned in for grading, and teacher will also give in-class quizzes.
