*Tuesday HS (AM1) – Consumer Math

ONE YEAR CLASS:

Recommended for 11th & 12th grade students, this new class fulfills an entire math credit while teaching skills that students will use in the real world. In this class, students will be creating a budget, writing a business plan, planning and calculating the cost to floor a room, all teaching math from a practical perspective. By the end of this course, your student will understand saving and investing and learn what costs are associated with life. They will know how to apply critical thinking to the real-life problems they encounter and understand the basics of income, taxes, and employee benefits and explore career or academic options for their life after high school. Most importantly, they will learn that biblical wisdom is the solid foundation on which they can make every decision for their futures.
