Thursday *JH & HS Elective (AM1B) – Intermediate Guitar

ONE YEAR CLASS (Prerequisite: Taken and passed one year of Beginning Guitar or equivalent skill level) – Accepting New Students for Spring Semester with skill level:

This course is designed to prepare students to serve on a worship team and will focus on rhythm guitar and chord structures, knowledge of the fret board, practice habits, effectively rehearsing, and etiquette in the team dynamic. This will be a highly interactive class and weekly topics are subject to change as feedback from students and their progress is considered. Students need to not only attend class for demonstration, learning and practice, they must practice weekly what they have learned as homework, practice songs as assigned, and prepare for tests (Practice 30 minutes/day which must be verified by parent signature on practice log). They will also participate in periodic demonstrations, and complete covering fret board knowledge, vocabulary, and performance.

*Student will need a guitar and tuner for in class instruction and practice at home.
