Class Description:

ONE YEAR CLASS:

This course is designed to give students the tools needed for excellence in writing; it takes two years in jr. high to give them a solid foundation for writing. Students will improve their compositional skills with the Structure and Style Writing Method using the theme-based IEW program; and this year, students will be using IEW Modern World-history based curriculum.

There will also be a proportionate focus on grammar and roots. They will also learn to be responsible for their work with organization and time management. They will need to type their homework for outlines, drafts and final drafts. The ultimate goal of this class is prepare students for high school writing.
