Thursday *JH & HS Elective (AM0) – Advanced Worship Guitar

ONE YEAR CLASS (Prerequisite: Grace Intermediate Guitar or approval of skill level by teacher) – Accepting New Student for Spring Semester at this skill level:

This is a moderately advanced course that will cover, more in depth, the fundamentals of playing rhythm guitar and music theory. The focus will be deepening understanding of the fret board, alternative chord voicings, songwriting and improvisation. Weekly topics are subject to change as feedback from students and their progress is considered. Students should already be familiar with all of the major and minor chords. Students need to not only attend class for demonstration, learning and practice, but practice weekly what they have learned as homework, practice songs as assigned, and prepare for tests (Practice 30 minutes/day which must be verified by parent signature on practice log).

*Student will need a tunable guitar, metronome, tuner and capo
