ONE YEAR CLASS:
Suggested for 11th & 12th grade students for high school English credit, students will further develop their essay writing skills and be given the opportunity to compose persuasive and informative essays on a variety of subjects. Students will learn how to counter arguments with rebuttals and how to make their points convincing and memorable. Throughout the year, we’ll also explore some classic British literature and poetry from the 19th and 20th centuries, analyzing the impact of history on the writing and discussing genre, character, and themes.
