Class Description:
ONE YEAR CLASS:
Exploring America presents history through the perspective of faith in God and respect for His Word. This course gives students an in-depth overview of the significant events that shaped America. Students will survey landmark events, explore significant historical contributors and analyze issues ranging from the early European exploration to the war on terror- including extensive coverage of the twentieth century. This will be an in-depth high school history class where students are required to participate in class discussions and in-class work and activities, along with weekly homework questions and assignments, take-home exams and two projects per semester.
There is an option for a full year of Bible that is included within the curriculum. This will be up to the parent to grade and administer to include for credit they give for Bible. And there are literature and writing suggestions parents can use teach as part of their English credit.
*PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL USE THE NEW 2026 CURRICULUM NEXT YEAR-FOR THIS YEAR, TEACHER WILL SUPPLEMENT THE CURRICULUM WITH CURRENT EVENTS & PRESIDENTS
